ICT EDUCATION CASE STUDY-ASPBAE RESEARCH ON INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (BANGLADESH)

The research question of the case study is how to become a learning society and to ensure that itscitizens are equipped with the knowledge, skills and qualifications on information and communication technology (ICT) they will need in the next century, in the region of Bangladesh.
The purpose of the study includes three aspects. 1. Participation in the information society; 2. How ICT impacts on access, cost effectiveness and quality of education; 3. The way that ICT changes the education process.
The target group of the case study refers to all kinds of individuals, including children, adult females, and males. The research is taken by selecting a certain amount as sample and collecting the data in various ways, e.g. survey, observation, interview, etc. Recommendations are presented after the research. Mainly, the research recommends that facilities should be built to promote ICT education and computer-aided education in all levels. Another important conclusion is that teachers are the most vital resource in promoting modernization and higher standards, thus their performances and treatments are critical to ICT education system in the region of Bangladesh. Afterward, the study provides some suggestions toward the improvement of ICT infrastructure in Bangladesh.
